This document outlines the data collection practices for GigaPulse network auditing services.

1. Overview

GigaPulse (the "Service") provides real-time network diagnostic tools. We prioritize user privacy and data minimization. Our infrastructure is designed to provide high-precision latency audits without harvesting unnecessary PII (Personally Identifiable Information).

2. Data Collection

During a network audit, the following technical indicators are processed:

  • Network Performance Metrics: Latency (RTT), Jitter variance, Packet Loss percentage, and Bandwidth throughput.
  • Infrastructure Metadata: Your approximate geographic location (assigned by your ISP), Service Provider name, and Browser/Device characteristics.
  • IP Address: Your IP address is used strictly for routing diagnostics and determining your ISP. We do not store full IP addresses in our permanent public logging for personal identification.

3. Data Retention and Disclosure

Aggregated network stats are stored to contribute to regional ISP leaderboard averages. We do not sell user-specific data to third-party brokers. Data shared with partners is anonymized and used exclusively for mapping global network health trends.

4. Cookies and Advertising

We use essential cookies to maintain preference settings and basic diagnostic persistence. Additionally, we use third-party advertising services to support our platform.

Third-Party Cookie Disclosure:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to GigaPulse or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

You can manage cookie settings via your global browser privacy settings. Note that disabling cookies may affect some diagnostic persistence features.

5. Rights and Compliance

We operate in compliance with major global privacy frameworks (GDPR, CCPA). Users have the right to request the deletion of any specific diagnostic records associated with their session by contacting our technical support team.
